Work with Reputable Equipment Leasing Companies – Know who you are working with before you sign a lease agreement. We here at Equipment Leasing Online cannot stress enough how important it is to know that you are working with a reputable company. Unfortunately, the equipment leasing industry does not have the best reputation. But do not despair, there are plenty of reputable, trustworthy equipment leasing and financing companies in the industry. To make sure you are working with some of the good apples follow this advice:

• Do your online research.

Check to make sure they have a website, “Google” them to see what comes up online. You can find out more than enough by seeing what other customers write about them online.

• Find out how long they have been in business for.

This is crucial. Dealing with a start up isn’t necessarily a bad thing, we all need to start somewhere, but when working with an equipment leasing company, you want to see some history so you know that they can deliver when it comes time to paying your vendor.

• Check Better Business Bureau.

The Better Business Bureau deals with issues like lawsuits and complaints. If a company has a long history of complaints and lawsuits that went unresolved it could be a sign that they are not the company you want to work with.

• Always ask for referrals.

What better way to find out about a company than to talk with someone that already did business with them. Of course, the equipment leasing company you are working with will give you there best referrals, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get good information from that satisfied customer. Ask what they didn’t like about working with “ABC Leasing” and how long the process took. Ask if there were any changes along the way, because no one likes surprises when it comes to financing your equipment.
